1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Litmus ("Service"), operated by Litmus ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Litmus provides a platform for companies to create, manage, and evaluate technical assessments for engineering candidates. Candidates use the platform to receive and submit take-home assessments.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Submit fraudulent or plagiarized assessment responses
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute content from the Service without permission

5. Intellectual Property

Companies retain ownership of assessment content they create. Candidates retain ownership of their submissions. Litmus retains ownership of the platform, its design, and underlying technology.

6. Payment and Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis. You authorize us to charge your payment method on file. You may cancel at any time, but refunds are not provided for partial billing periods.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Litmus shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
